IQ 2020 Eagle Box Software Update (76836) and 78191 Control Panel Configuration (12 Easy Steps)

In this post, we walk you through software update for the 76836 (Eagle box) and how to set the soft jumpers with the 78191 control panel.

Step 1. Disconnect power from the spa.

Step 2. Make sure the Limit Therm and Reg Therm sensors are both plugged into the motherboard.

Step 2. Lim and Reg therm sensors plugged in-

Step 3. Locate the USB port. Plug the flash drive with the ED1.02 software into the USB port.

Step 3. Locate the USB port and plug in the flash drive-

Step 4. Reconnect power to the spa.

Reconnect the power 230v-

The green Power On light will blink rapidly while the software is uploading. When the software is almost finished uploading, you will hear two clicks and the green Power On light will turn solid for 5-10 seconds. After the software upload is complete, the green Power On light will resume blinking again.

Step 4. Reconnect power to the tub. Upload software-

Step 5. Verify the correct software version on the screen.

Step 5. Verify software 2-

Wait for the home screen to appear on the control panel.

Step 5.5 wait for the home screen to appear-

Step 6: Locate the Setup (SW1) button on the motherboard. Hold the button down for 2-3 seconds to access service mode.

Step 6. Hold down SW1 button-

Step 7. In Service Mode Press Next until Configuration is highlighted. Then press SELECT to enter configuration mode. Then press NEXT.

Step 7. Press next until configuration is highlighted-

Step 7.5 Press next-

Step 8. Find your spa on the control box configuration instructions.

Step 8. Find your spa 2-

Step 9. Set the soft (software) jumpers.

Step 10. Disconnect power from the spa.

Disconnect the power 230v 2-

Step 11. Remove the flash drive from the USB port.

Step 11. Remove the flash drive-

Step 12. Reconnect power to the spa.

Reconnect the power 230v 1-

You’re all done!
