How To: Hot Tub Light Lens Removal and Replacement for Hot Spring Spas and Tiger River Spas (2000- Forward)

In this post, we show you how to replace your light lens and o-ring for Hot Spring spas and Tiger River spas using the 71830 light lens kit.

Step 1. Disconnect power from the spa.

Step 2. Drain the spa.

Step 3. Unscrew the decorative bezel from the light lens.

Step 3. Unscrew the decorative bezel-

Step 4. Using gripping gloves (if needed), unscrew the light lens counterclockwise.

Step 4. Unscrew the light lens-

Note: Notice the loose-fitting, flattened o-ring which was most likely the cause of the leak.

Step 4.5 Notice the flat O ring-

Step 5. Open the 71830 light lens replacement kit.

Step 5. Open the light lens kit-

Step 6. Cover the o-ring in liquid dish soap. This will prevent the o- ring from binding when it is compressed between the light lens and the wall fitting.

Step 6. Cover the o ring in dish soap-

Step 7. Place the soapy o-ring around the light lens.

Step 8. Using gripping gloves, screw the new light lens into place by hand. Make sure the o-ring is firmly compressed.

Step 9. Replace the bezel and refill the spa.

Step 10. Verify that there are no leaks inside the equipment compartment.
