Welcome to Backyardplus! In this post, we show you how to troubleshoot the E6 No Heater Power and a flashing red HEATER ON light on a 2012.5 – 2023 Hot Spring spa. Before we get started, let’s go over the tools and parts you will need.
Tools you will need:
- Multimeter
Parts you may need:
- 76836 Eagle Control box
If your spa is not heating and the error code E6 NO HEATER POWER appears on the topside control panel, it means the heater circuit is not being energized.
If you just wired your spa, make sure the heater circuit wires are in the correct place on the terminal block. If the heater circuit wires are correctly placed, follow these steps.
Step 1. Checked if the GFI breaker is tripped. If the breaker is tripped, reset the breaker.
Step 2. If the GFI breaker is not tripped, check the incoming voltage on the heater circuit. If you have no voltage coming into the spa on the heater circuit, it means you have a bad GFI breaker.
Step 3. If you have good voltage coming into the spa on the heater circuit and the power jumpers are in place, and the heater on light is still flashing red, it means you have a bad control box. You must replace the 76836 Eagle box.
Good job!
