My Hot Spring Grandee jacuzzi would not come on after I drained and cleaned it. I was certain something was wrong with the motherboard so I called the local dealer to discuss my problem. They couldn't provide any information over the phone but did say they could send a tech out in 3 weeks but I had to pay an upfront service fee to get on the schedule. I asked if they could give me an estimate if the motherboard had to be replaced. They said if that was the problem the part was discontinued and they would have to do a retrofit in the field. They quoted an estimated cost of $2,500-$3,000. I decided to call Backyard Plus. I spoke with Rebekah who was very professional and quickly accessed the exact part I was looking for. She determined that there was a technical question regarding another part that may be required on my spa. She transferred me Paul Barton to clarify this before I placed my order. I know Paul get a lot of calls everyday and his time is valuable. Paul asked me several questions to determine what issues I was having with the control panel. He was kind enough to walk me through several steps as I tried to reset the panel. It took quite a bit of his time because I was having a hard time plugging the ribbon cord back into the slot. He was very patient with me until I was done. It didn't reset immediately so I ordered the parts and that was an easy process. A few hours later I noticed the spa was on. Within a few more hours, the jacuzzi was at 101 degrees and working perfectly. I received the parts in 2 days. There is no fee if I decide to send them back. I highly recommend Backyard Plus for your spa needs. I also want to thank Rebekah and Paul for their help and knowledge helping solve my problem. Most people would not take their time and use their expertise to help someone calling in to order a part. They did because they care and their actions showed that. My Hot Springs spa blew up a diverter valve. Lucky for me I found the perfect video on YouTube that was sponsored by Backyard Plus, and it explained how simple it was to replace the diverter valve. Then on line I found the exact parts neeed on the Backyard Plus website. I ordered the parts and they came in a couple of days and the fix was complete for a just a few dollars compared to having a service tech do the job. So Thanks to Backyard PLus. But I have to say, there was SERIOUS overcharge for one of the parts-- a tiny little injection molded part (a "C" ring to hold the valve in place) costs over $18 and I am certain it cost $.01 to make it, so this was really a gouge. (and it turns out it was unnecessary) so I regret buying that part anmd paying its outrageous price. But all in all, I'm happy to have the support and the spa is back in business! The manufacturer has set prices that we are not allowed to fall below and MSRP is even higher. I don't recall the name of the congenial woman who answered the phone... She was extremely knowledgeable, very quick to verify part numbers, offered "complete" explanations for the various parts that I may need to purchase (including alternate less expensive replacement parts) and, with my permission, she accessed my newly established account and added those parts for me into my cart!
