How to Clean Your Tri-X Ceramic Filter with the Filter Spinner Drill Attachment

Welcome to Backyardplus! In this post, we show you how to clean your Tri-X ceramic filters with the filter spinner drill attachment. Before we get started, let’s go over the tools and parts you will need.

Tools you will need:

  • 3/8” Drill
  • Spa Guard Filter Cleaner Sku: 42654BIO
  • 3 Five Gallon buckets

Parts you will need:

  • Filter Spinner Drill Attachment

Step 1. Fill the two buckets with water and leave the third bucket empty.

Step 1. Fill buckets with water-

Step 2. Thread the blue nut onto the bolt as far as it will go.

Step 2. Thread the spinner onto the bolt-

Step 3. Push the rubber plug into the filter and tighten the blue nut.  

Step 3. Push the rubber plug into the filter-
Step 3.1 Tighten the blue nut-

Step 4. Insert the tool into the drill and tighten the chuck around the shaft.

Step 4. Tighten the chuck-

Step 5. Spray the ceramic surface of the filter with Spa Guard Filter Cleaner.

Step 5. Spray Spa Guard-
Step 5.1 Spray the filters-

Step 6. Place the filter in the bucket of water and spin the filter forward and in reverse.

Step 6. Spin the filter-

Step 7. Place the filter in the second bucket of water and do the same thing.

Step 7. Second bucket-

Step 8. Place the filter in the empty bucket and spin it until it is dry.

Step 8. Empty bucket-
