Setting Voltage Jumpers in the IQ 2020 Heater Relay Board (77119) and Motherboard (77087)

Welcome to Backyardplus! In this post, we show you how to set the voltage jumpers in the IQ 2020 heater relay board (77119) and motherboard (77087). Before we get started, let’s go over the tools you will need.

Tools you will need:

  • Needle nose pliers

Step 1. Locate the voltage jumper at J302 on the motherboard. 

Step 1. J302-

Step 2. Locate the voltage jumper at J8 on the heater relay board.

Step 2. J8-

Step 3. Make sure the voltage jumper on the heater relay board matches the voltage jumper on the motherboard. (i.e., if the motherboard is set to 12 volts, change the heater relay board to 12 volts). In this case, the motherboard is set to 12 volts.

Step 3. 12 volts on motherboard-

Step 4. If necessary, move the voltage jumper to the top two pins on the heater relay board for 12 volt operation.

Step 4. Move the jumper to 12 volts-
Step 4.5. Voltage jumper moved-

NOTE: The original Invensys motherboards operated at 18 volts. When installing a 77119 heater relay board on an original motherboard, set the voltage jumper to 18 volts.
