This diverter valve is located under the diverter lever on the top lip of the spa. Its purpose is to divert water to different jet combinations when you rotate the lever or dial. Replacement is necessary only if the valve lever becomes too difficult to turn, the handle breaks off the top of this valve or it begins leaking. This is the replacement valve kit for pre-1994 Hot Spring Classic, Grandee, Highlife, Indoor/Outdoor, Jetsetter, Prodigy, and Sovereign spa models. Also used on the Tiger River 1992-1993 Khyber, Manora, and Tondi spa models.
This valve kit is not accessible from the top of the spa. It is replaced by cutting the flexible PVC plumbing on each side of the diverter valve tee.
