This Heater Hi-Limit (red “heater reset” button) is designed to kill power to the heater if the core temperature exceeds 150 deg.
The probe of this high-limit is inserted into the end of the heater element and surrounded with plumbers putty to prevent it from detecting air temperature within the equipment compartment. This part is found on the Hot Spring Classic model A, B, C, the 1989-1994 Classic model F, 1987-1994 Grandee, 1985-1994 Home Spa/Prodigy, 1984-1994 IO/Sovereign, 1985-1994 Jetsetter and the 1989-1994 Highlife spa models. The length of the lead including the capillary is approx. 28″ and probe size is 3/16″.
Notes: A tripped heater hi-limit deactivates power to the heater and must be manually reset. It typically trips off if the water flowing through the heater is moving too slowly or not at all.
This part can be found on
many Hot Spring, Hot Spring pre 89 models from 0 to 1994

Absolutely perfect product and service. My product was delayed due to a train derailment, but not only did UPS keep me updated but Backyard Plus did as well. The ceramic filter is by far the best replacement part I've purchased for my tub! Increased the pressure dramatically! On 09/05/2018 by M. W. (verified customer)

Everything arrived on time and packed very well in bubble wrap. All parts were as ordered and as described and fit perfectly. I likely saved a thousand dollars by doing this myself and really appreciate being able to buy parts like this for a 23 year old spa. The website is very easy to navigate and was very helpful in verifying that what I ordered was what I needed and would fit. Thank you Backyard Plus!!On 09/04/2018 by D. N. (verified customer)
