This modified 2-position (3 and 9 o’clock positions) Smart Jet Water Diverter Valve Kit is located under the Smart Jet lever/dial on the top lip of the spa. Its purpose is to divert water to the different jet combination’s when you rotate the lever from 3 o’clock to 9 o’clock and in a quieter fashion than the original 71494 Smart Jet valve in some spas. Replacement is necessary only if the original 71494 was noisy due to excess vibration in some models of Hot Spring, Tiger River, and Limelight spa models or that a newly installed Moto-Massage replacement still won’t travel up and down.
