Welcome to Backyardplus! In this post, we show you how to clean hot tub filters with the Aqua Comb filter cleaning tool. The Aqua Comb tool makes filter cleaning much easier and faster! And, as an added benefit, you will get cleaner filters!
Step 1. Remove the filter element from the spa, spray it generously with SpaGuard filter cleaner, and let it soak for 15 minutes.
Step 2. As an alternative, place the filter into a solution of 1-part SpaGuard filter cleaner mixed with 3 parts water. Allow to soak for 1 hour.
Step 3. Connect the Aqua Comb to a ¾” garden hose fitting.
Step 4. Turn on the water by turning the white ball valve counterclockwise 90 degrees.
Step 5. Insert the Aqua Comb teeth into the pleats of the filter. Start at the top of the filter and work your way down. Keep cleaning until the water runs clear at the bottom of the filter.
Look at that sparkling filter!
