Description
This Hot Spot spa jet pump is 1.5 horsepower, 2 speed, 230volt pump was used in the third quarter 2003-2009 Hot Spot Mallorca, and select years for the Hot Spot Relay, Rhythm, and Sprint models. This is one of the two pumps that drive these spas. The second is the 72992 single speed pump.
A note about this OEM pump: The OEM pump 72991 usually arrives at our warehouse as an LX brand and is a 48 frame pump with two large capacitors. Sometimes the bulkiness of the start capacitor which sits on the motor and is nearest to the wall or spa shell can cause issues upon installation. If you’re worried that you may not have enough room in your equipment compartment, consider the 72991FM-BYP version (one capacitor) or the 72991-AM-BYP (no capacitors) to help solve the space issue.
What’s Included: Jet Pump w/power cord and shroud. Also included is the bleedline nipple (item 32267).

Installation: Some models may require minor plumbing modifications to connect to the new wet end. The factory used many vendors for the wet end side of this Jet Pump, and as a result, this Jet Pump may not be an exact fit in some tubs. This replacement also has two start capacitors on the motor housing, whereas previous versions may have only had one. Exact/Direct replacement is not guaranteed with this specific jet pump.
